Sercos presentation on March 3 in hall 3.1:

Sercos International will present, together with some member companies, new products and developments at this year's SIAF.
The Sercos® SoftMaster demo as well as the OPC-UA demonstrator will be exhibited.
With a Sercos III Soft Master, a specific Sercos III FPGA or an ASIC master component is not required. Instead, a standard Ethernet controller is used and the Sercos III hardware functions are emulated in host-based driver software. With this implementation approach, adequate real-time behavior is ensured for a large number of applications. If an Ethernet controller with several queues and telegram scheduling (such as INTEL i210™) is used, even synchronicities in the area of a hardware-based master can be achieved. Due to the low manufacturing costs, the high flexibility and the high scalability, this approach is of great interest for the Asian market in particular.
The OPC-UA specification describes how the Sercos information model is mapped onto OPC-UA so that the functions and data provided by Sercos devices can be made accessible via OPC-UA on a standardized, i.e., cross-product and manufacturer basis. The aim is to facilitate data exchange between the machine periphery and superordinate IT systems and support the requirements of Industry 4.0 with respect to optimal consistency and semantic interoperability.
GSK CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. will show their Sercos III products in a running Sercos III network consisting of the master GSK25i CNC controler and some slaves.
The GSK25i CNC Controller adopts SOC hardware architecture, can be adapted to many kinds of Industrial Ethernet bus technology, and have implemented the network communication based on Sercos III. It is suitable for the control of machining center, boring machine, milling machine, drilling machine, lathing machine, grinding machine, compound machine tool, and automation equipments.
Schneider Electric will demonstrate its high-end motion control solutions with PacDrive 3, LMC078 and LXM32S series products, which unifies PLC, IT, and motion functionalities on a single hardware platform – MachineStruxure. The solution package for general machinery applications had attracted great interests in past exhibitions.
Additionally, the Safety gateways with Safety monitors for Sercos and ASi provided by Bihl+Wiedemann, and the encoder module of TR-Electronic will complete the exhibition presence of Sercos.
