Current Application

Invitation to 12th PlugFest at ISW, University of Stuttgart on October 23-24, 2013

The PlugFest allows manufacturers of sercos III devices to perform interoperability tests in order to verify the implementation of sercos III master and slave devices thus ensuring the best possible compliance of different products. It also enables us to improve the sercos III specification.

Furthermore, the staff of the testing laboratory will be present with the sercos III Slave Conformizer.

The main objectives of the PlugFest are to:

1. perform interoperability tests between each of the present masters and each slave, as well as between each of the present masters and multiple slaves in different configurations (line/ ring topology with variable device order)

2. test and verify features, such as ring break detection, ring recovery and hot-plugging, in different network configurations

3. test and verify SDDML descriptions of slave devices with present masters and configuration tools

4. test and verify UCC connectivity and S/IP protocol support

5. solve open issues with regard to Slave Conformance Testing

Participation is limited to manufacturers with at least functional prototypes. Besides providing the sercos III master and/or slave devices, attendees should bring along their development systems (Compiler/Debugger) and testing tools (such as Wireshark or other network sniffers). One or two developers per device are expected in order to create best possible conditions and maximum efficiency.

Please note that the PlugFest is subject to confidentiality. Further information on confidentiality, registration procedure etc. will be provided once you contact us.
