Video on Sercos Interoperability Demo No. 2 Now Available

Sercos Interoperability Demo No. 2 demonstrates 23 Sercos products from 12 manufacturers running interoperably on a single Ethernet cable. A video describing the demo and promoting various Sercos features is now available on YouTube.

The demo shows that Sercos has the functionality and performance to operate synchronized motion, I/O and safety while allowing full TCP/IP communication with each device over a single Ethernet ring.

Demo products include a motion controller, an electric servo drive, 2 hydraulic controllers, a stepper motor controller, a pneumatic valve interface, a linear measuring system, 2 safety controls, 4 I/O modules, a gateway for SSI encoders, a gateway switch for TCP/IP Ethernet telegrams, a gateway for AS-i devices, 2 gateways between real-time networks, a Sercos/EtherCAT bridge, a hand-held HMI, a rotary coupler, a frequency converter and a machine control panel. Manufacturers represented on the demo include Bihl+Wiedemann, Bosch Rexroth, CANNON-Automata, Festo, Hilscher, Kunbus, Pilz, Phoenix Contact, Schleicher, Smitech, TR Electronic and Wago.
