Boost for sercos international

On March 5, the 9th edition of MC4 Motion Control was held in Bologna, Italy. More than 50 international exhibitors attended this large industry meeting and presented innovations, trends and new products from all over the world, as did sercos international, Automata S.p.A. and Bosch Rexroth in the sercos joint booth.

Marco Fantoni, Sales and Marketing Manager at Automata contributed to the conference, presenting the sercos Energy profile.  He stated, “Most current automation products only focus on the reduction of energy consumption through the improvement of the technology. More than this, with the sercos Energy profile a new concept has been introduced: the intelligent management of energy. Based on the sercos III real-time communication system, sercos Energy profile makes the components’ energy consumption transparent, allowing a full control of loads. The intelligent way is the real innovation.”

sercos international, Automata and Bosch Rexroth were represented at the "swissT.meeting" held on March 12 in Windisch/ Switzerland. The trade conference  attracted about 150 visitors. In addition to a presentation discussing "trends in real time communication using sercos as an example" another speech explained why sercos is the natural way to automate with real-time Ethernet. The presentations were complemented by a user workshop on "Design and diagnosis of a sercos real-time Ethernet network with CoDeSys."

The Automation Summit 2013, held in Boeblingen, Germany, completed the March events. From March 20 to 22, new solutions and trends were presented at the sercos joint booth together with Wago Kontakttechnik and 3S-Smart Software Solutions. In addition, sercos offered both successful user and developer workshops.  The feedback from both events showed the increasing importance of sercos as an automation technology in the market.
