Cabling Guide for sercos III completed

The specification is based on the international standard IEC 61918 (Installation of communication networks in industrial premises), with an added installation profile for sercos III, which will be standardized in IEC 61784-5.

sercos III is using a component–based approach. Defined cables and connectors are combined and used to connect the automation devices in a machine or system. The total length of the cabling channel as well as the number of transitions between cable and connectors are considered. The result are transmission lines that fulfil the requirements for the sercos III cabling with a distinct reserve – without the necessity to perform extensive plannings, calculations and measurements.
