Sercos International expands its world-wide presence
User organization offers tailor-made events for vendors and users of Sercos technology.
Sercos International, supplier of the Sercos® automation bus, will present its product and service portfolio together with its members at more than 20 events this year.
World-wide presence at exhibitions and conferences
Sercos will exhibit at major shows like the Hannover Fair, the SIAF Industrial Automation Fair in Guangzhou, China, and the SPS IPC Drives shows in Parma, Italy and Nuremberg. In addition, Sercos will present at country-specific events and conferences to show the latest developments and innovations in automation. On March 11, the user organization will exhibit at Safety+Automation in Stuttgart, Germany, MC4 in Bologna, Italy (March, 18) and the Automation Summit in Boeblingen, Germany (March 25-27). The 13th PlugFest from May 7-8, taking place in Stuttgart,Germany, as well as the Industrial Automation from May 7-9, in Beijing, China, complete the spring events.
In July, Sercos International will participate at the Industrial Open Network Roadshow in Japan and will also contribute with presentations. The first roadshow takes place on July 2, in Nagoya, the 2nd event on July 4, in Tokyo.
The last quarter of 2014 will feature the 14th PlugFest in Stuttgart, Germany from October 15-16, as well as the Industrial Automation Show in Shanghai, China from November 4-8.
Additional education with Sercos seminars
The first seminar, called “Safety in Automation” takes place at the Automation Summit in Boeblingen, Germany, on March 26. This seminar is primarily targeted at developers and product managers and will be held in German.Additional seminars will take place on demand throughout the year and will be published on our website.
Networking at the Sercos User Conference
Following the success of last year’s conference, Sercos will organize another user event in September in Southern Germany.
This conference is designed for users and interested parties with a stronger technical background from the machinery and automation industry as well as system integrators. It will offer individual afternoon sessions, following various presentations taking place in the morning event, thus allowing every participant to tailor-make their own program.
Sercos interactive
Sercos will start a webinar series on January 29,called “Moving forward with tradition & innovation”.Peter Lutz, Managing Director of Sercos International shows in the first 30-minute presentation, why Sercos is employed with great success in a wide variety of machine and plant construction sectors and how the Sercos technology continuously adapts to changing requirements of users and manufacturers.The English webinar takes place at 4 pm CET.
In the second part of the series on February 26, Lutz shows how easily, quickly, and flexibly peripheral components of a machine or plant can be connected using the Sercos automation bus. He explains why Sercos is one of the fastest real-time Ethernet protocols, which network topologies can be implemented, and how the commissioning of a Sercos network takes place. The possibility of connecting safety-oriented peripheral equipment via Sercos without additional hardware is also discussed.
The English webinar “Sercos in practice: Easy, fast, flexible” starts at 5 pm CET.
The series concludes on March 10, with the topic “Sercos in practice: efficient, reliable and economical.” This presentation shows why Sercos enables efficient, reliable and economical networking in machine and plant construction and how Sercos makes optimal use of the available bandwidth of Fast Ethernet. Moreover, Lutz explains features such as hot plugging, ring redundancy and synchronization.
