The AMKASMART iDT5 series features a DT synchronous motor with an integrated servo controller. They are a plug and play solution for modular machine concepts. The system combines the mechanism, electronics, and software for distributed uses. The AMKASMART iDT series is available up to a peak power of 10 kW. Sercos III is used for real-time Ethernet communication.

Multi-functional I/Os in each servo controller are available for sensors and actuators on the machine. Instead of using a hybrid cable manufactured separately, the decision was made to separate the power supply and fast communication via real-time Ethernet for AMK. This allows low-cost standard cables to be used. Furthermore, no expensive distributor box is necessary with the AMK system, making it possible to loop in additional fieldbus components anytime and anywhere in the machine. The cabling effort is reduced to a minimum by looping power supply and communication lines from iDT to iDT, even with extensive machines and systems.

Additional machine modules can be added to the machine by simply plugging them in. The control cabinet is still needed only for the power supply and electronics power supply, which reduces its volume drastically. Thanks to the high degree of protection up to IP65 and vibration shock resistance, it can be used in harsh production environments without any problem. STO (Safe Torque Off) can be implemented standardly with the device.
